Doug C. from North Aurora, IL - 9/8/2010 Review from Yelp.com The family dental practice I went to regularly since I was 3 years old became increasingly more difficult to get to as I got older and moved further and further away from their location in the near south suburbs of Chicago. I managed to eventually put off attending my regular appointments until recently, when my wife and I decided to begin regular check-ups again with a recent addition to our family now getting teeth. A new practice opened up conveniently close to us in North Aurora at the corner of Oak and Randall, and we decided it was time to take care of some long-ignored toothy maintenance. Dr. Morris' new practice is in the new buildings shared by the Fox Valley Women & Children's Health Centers, which makes it double convenient for my wife and daughter. The office is filled with cutting edge equipment including Pandora internet radio playing whatever you like, flat screen monitors in the exam chairs and dental technology that I have never been exposed to, let alone knew it existed. This dentist isn't your typical stodgy old healtchare office filled with mauve carpet and seafoam green wallpaper adorned with bad couch paintings. It's clean, fresh, comfortable and contemporary without being over-the-top and pretentious. I was very comfortable at all times. And Dr. Morris isn't your typical old school dentist, either. He makes you feel comfortable while you are getting your teeth cleaned, and tells you exactly what he is doing--and why he is doing it. You don't feel like you are getting shuffled in and shuffled out, just to get to the next appointment in line. I'm not fond of dentists--I think most people aren't. They are intimidating, condescending and you usually associate your negligence of teeth with pain and suffering twice a year. And they almost always employ assistants who spend your whole appointment clucking their tongues in disappointment at your dental habits. Dr. Morris is anything but that. If you really want to find a young, bright, cutting edge dental practice for your family, I can't recommend the Scott Morris DDS & Associates practice in North Aurora enough. Not all people enjoy going to the dentist, however, Dr. Morris and Staff make my family feel right at home and very comfortable. They are super friendly and so knowledgable. As a new patient, Dr. Morris and his staff made me feel extremely welcome. He has excellent bed side manner, professional and gentle. The office and patient rooms were emaculate. He used state of the art equipment and just an all around great experience for being at a dentist. I have to drive a bit to get there, but worth it for the comfort and care.
